To participate in athletic activities, students must complete the Sports Qualifying Physical Exam (SQPE) Form

Important Details

Programs will run Monday through Thursday when school is in session.
Some sports have a jersey fee of $22 which is worn on game dates and is yours to keep. Purchase jersey on EduTrak Connect and coach will give you the jersey.
Transportation is proved for away contests and returning to the school. Parents should pick up student-athletes from school on practice and contest days.

Practice Schedules:
Practice Schedules are set by the coach. Please stay in close contact with the coach for up dates or changes.

Practice/Game Cancellations:
Decisions will not occur until 1:30 p.m. Please do not call the office before this time. If a cancellation is made, we will inform your student before the end of the day. Practice cancellations will be posted on our website as soon as possible. Game cancellations will be updated on the Suburban East Conference website.

Fall Sports

Cross Country (Boys & Girls Grades 6-8)

Start Day: Aug. 30, 2023
Where To Go The First Day: OMS Track
Season Length: 7 weeks
Practice Days: 2:45 p.m. on the track, ending around 3:45- 4:30 p.m. No Friday practices.
Game Days: Usually one meet per week starting with the second week. Meet start times are most often 3:45 p.m. and done around 5 p.m.
What to bring: Running shoes, shorts and a t-shirt. As the weather cools off, it's always a good idea to bring a sweatshirt over the t-shirt as well. A limited number of Oak-Land hoodies and sweats for sale; message coach if interested.
Fee: $75 registration fee for grades 6-7, $110 registration fee for grade 8.
Jersey Fee of $10 (see coach during practice)
Transportation: Transportation for games will be provided to away games and back to the middle school after games are completed. There is no transportation to get athletes home after practices and games from the middle schools.

Start Day: Aug. 30, 2023
SMS and OMS will practice together at OMS.
Where to go the first day: Change into suits in the locker room and meet coaches on the pool deck at 2:30 p.m. Doors to the pool deck are just off of the showers.
Practice Days: We will be having practice Monday through Thursday 2:35-4:20.
Competition: TBD (expecting two away, one in-house meet)
Items Needed/Fees: One piece racing suit (any brand or color), goggles, water bottle, snack, towel, and swim cap. Optional items: nose plug, training (short) fins.
Requirements: at a minimum swimmers should be able to swim one length of the pool without touching.

Transportation: Transportation will be provided for all away games. Return trips to the Middle school will be provided as well. There is no transportation to get athletes home after practices and games from the Middle school.
NOTE: Players are split into "A" and "B" teams based on skill level. No cuts are made.

NOTE: There is not transportation to get athletes home after practices and games from the middle schools. The 7th grade school basketball program is an in-house program. Oak-Land Middle School will only play Stillwater Middle School and vice versa. Players will be split up into balanced teams. How many teams depends on how many players sign up to play. No cuts are made.

Practice Days: Practice will be held at Stillwater Middle School on Monday and Wednesday from 2:45-4:45 p.m. Students need to take the activity shuttle (the Elephant bus) to Stillwater Middle School. There is not a bus back to OMS after practice.
Game Days: Match days are Tuesday and Thursday starting at 3:45 p.m. Away matches will be held at opposing schools. Game schedule includes two or three weekend (Saturday) tournaments.
Transportation: Transportation for games will be provided to away games and back to Stillwater Middle School after meets are completed. There is no transportation to get athletes home after practices.
