Kogler Claims Pair of State Swim Titles
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- March 8, 2025 -- Behind a pair of record-setting times, Stillwater Area High School's Jackson Kogler became a two-time state champion at the Minnesota Boys Swimming & Diving State Tournament.
In a strong showing, several student-athletes from the Stillwater Swim program advanced to the tournament for individual events. At Saturday's state finals held at the University of Minnesota, Kogler clocked in at 1:46.14 in the 200 Individual Medley to set a new MSHSL all-time record. The marker was an impressive 2.5 seconds faster than the second-place finisher.
Kogler went on to add a swift 00:47.87 time in the 100 Backstroke, a pace that broke his own previous school record. Both his 200 IM and 100 Backstroke performances stand as Automatic All-American times.
Kogler's pair of state titles adds to an already exceptional year, where he was named Section 4AA Swimmer of the Year, set four school records, earned multiple section and conference records, and was voted as 2025 Stillwater Swim and Dive MVP by his teammates.
Five student-athletes from the Stillwater program joined Kogler at the State Tournament. For complete results, find more on the MSHSL Tournament website.
