Awards and Lettering

Award requirements/eligibility is determined by each head coach or advisor. The following is a listing of what a student-athlete receives when earning a letter:

First Time Earning a Letter

A black chenille S, a chenille graduation year and a gold insignia.

If participating in a sport or activity that requires a registration fee, the student-athlete receives the items at no additional cost.
For students receiving academic credit or do not pay a registration fee, these items are available for purchase from the SAHS Activities Office for $10. Cash or Check payable to SAHS only.

Students who have Received a Black S

Second Year Letter Winners

Third Time Letter Winner in One Sport/Activity

Students earn a white chenille S, three bars, and gold insignia.
Students in a sport or activity that requires a registration fee receive the items at no additional cost.
Students receiving academic credit or do not pay registration fees, these items are available for purchase from the SAHS Activities Office for $10. Cash or Check payable to SAHS only.
